The NRL has announced the relocation of 12 teams, including the Canberra Raiders, to Queensland to preserve the NRL Telstra Premiership season.
The Canberra Raiders are seeking advice from the NRL about what the remainder of the season is going to look like, with many logistical aspects to be considered, but it is confirmed that the match v Sharks and the Round 21 fixture v Dragons on Friday 6 August will not be played at GIO Stadium Canberra.
All tickets purchased to the below dates, will received a full refund:
- Saturday 17 July – Raiders v Sharks, GIO Stadium Canberra
- Friday 6 August – Raiders v Dragons, GIO Stadium Canberra
Patrons should visit Ticketek to seek their refund or for more information.
The Canberra Raiders will finalise and communicate compensation for their members and corporate partners will be at the seasons end, once the remaining regular season rounds have been played.
Venues Canberra will communicate with their corporate partners, Suites and Sports Lounge members once there is a clearer direction on the balance of the games scheduled for GIO Stadium.
We thank the Canberra community, the Raiders Members and our event partners and sponsors, for their patience whilst we work our way through this forever evolving situation.
GIO Stadium wishes the Canberra Raiders the best of luck for the coming weeks and look forward to hosting the team back at the venue when possible.
