What are the terms and conditions for Stadium Golf?
  • Bookings are to be made via Ticketek.
  • Corporate bookings are to be made via the Venues Canberra Sales team
  • All bookings have an attached cost (inc. GST), applicable per person. A booking fee will be applied at the check-out by the ticket agent.
  • Bookings are subject to availability.
  • All payments are final and non-refundable.
  • All exclusive group bookings (corporate/party) are subject to availability.
  • No walk-up bookings will be accepted.
  • The event is open to all ages, but anyone 14 years old or under must be accompanied by an adult who plays in the same group.
  • Venues Canberra reserves the right to transfer players booked in under subscribed sessions to an alternative session time.
  • The event is open to all ages, but anyone 15 years old or under must be accompanied by an adult who plays in the same group.
  • All players must register at the Clubhouse no later than 30 minutes prior to their allotted tee time.
  • GIO Stadium Canberra’s Conditions of Entry apply.
  • Entry to the playing surface and other stadium areas is strictly prohibited.
  • Players are not permitted to bring their own balls or clubs. All equipment will be provided by GIO Stadium.
  • All players must follow the instruction and direction of GIO Stadium Canberra staff at all times.
  • All players must comply by the safety rules of the Event which will be available on the website in the lead-up to the Event, at the Clubhouse on the day of the Event.
  • All players participate at their own risk.

Yes – all exclusive bookings include a food and beverage package and the minimum booking size is 8 golf players. The maximum number of players is 36 golf players that can take part in the golf event. Only ticketed players are permitted entry to the venue. Smaller corporate or party groups will be joined by other participants, however private function spaces are available subject to availability for pre and post event functions. Please contact us on 02 6256 6700 to discuss your group booking requirements.

Yes – Food and beverages can be purchased before and after you round at the Clubhouse located in the West Lounge. There will be additional opportunities to grab a quick beverage on your way around the course.

Please drink responsibly – GIO Stadium Canberra reserves the right to refuse participation if players are deemed unfit to play.

The event is open to all ages, but children 14 years and under must be accompanied by an adult playing in the same group.

The event is recommended for those with moderate fitness and mobility given the number of stairs to be negotiated around the course.

Players should allow approximately 90 minutes however there will be plenty of time to enjoy the Clubhouse before and after your round.

A shot clock will be used to keep play moving. Event Staff will provide details on how the course works at the briefing for players on arrival.

The Clubhouse will open 30 minutes before the first session.

No, Stadium golf is for all levels from beginner to professional.

Car parking is available directly outside the West Gate at GIO Stadium Canberra, access to this area via Battye Street. Please note this parking area is known as “West VIP Car Park” for major events. See GIO Stadium Canberra Parking Map

Entry to GIO Stadium Canberra for Stadium Golf will be via the “West Corporate Entry” at the end of Battye Street. Please note GIO Stadium Canberra Conditions of entry will apply.

We recommend wearing comfortable clothing suitable for a round of golf including closed flat soled shoes. (No thongs or high heels)

Yes, there will be children size clubs available. Each tee will have a range on men’s, women’s and children’s clubs in right and left handed.

All sales are final and all bookings are non-refundable

Golf is a game played in the elements and accordingly the event will be on rain, hail or shine. (except for extreme weather conditions and or lightning). Adjustments may be required as needed.

Only ticketed players are permitted entry into GIO Stadium. This is to maintain room capacities in the Clubhouse (West Lounge).

Golden Ticket

The Golden Ticket will be awarded to the first person to score a hole in one on the 7th hole during the public rounds of Stadium Golf. The prize is not available during any private or corporate functions of Stadium Golf. The player’s caddie will notify the course director at the time of a potential hole in one on the 7th hole. The course director along with nominated stadium officials will verify the hole-in-one claim. Once the Golden Ticket is awarded, no further claims in relation to the prize can be made by any member of the public.

There is only one Golden Ticket awarded.

You can bring you own glove but all clubs and balls will be provided for you on the day. Personal club and ball use is not permitted.

Player must arrive no later than 30 minutes prior to their starting time. Player should check-in at the Clubhouse as soon as they arrive. A player briefing will take place 15 minutes prior to the start time, players will meet their caddie at this time.

The Stadium Golf holes will have raised teeing platforms with short-pile synthetic turf foam based hitting mats.
